Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Janus Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ki Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Law is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: We Run This Town. The key to victory for Janus Cross has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Janus Cross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ki Law! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cross comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Law is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real. Cross cracks Law with an uppercut from hell and Law crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Cross's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
It looks like Ki Law has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cross looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Law looks gassed! Cross thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cross drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cross jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Law keeping moving, preventing Cross from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cross seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Cross fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cross shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Law sprawls well. Law wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cross gets slowly back to his feet. Law gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cross wants to control from the top but Law keeps moving. Cross stands and throws Law's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cross is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Law has escaped the position, nice work there. Cross working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Law prevents Cross from moving into mount. Cross looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cross is looking to take a break and control but Law is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Law can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cross advances nicely into full mount. Cross with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Law is desperately trying to improve his position but Cross has a good base and remains in mount. Cross is going olschool here, as he tries to force Law to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Law shrugs it off. Law gets back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cross is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Cross is working for a submission of some sort.
Law is doing well to control the position and prevent Cross from advancing to side control. Cross is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Law is just riding it out for now. Cross eventually gives up the hold. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cross trying to pass the guard but Law defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Janus Cross dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ki Law's cut. That's time! Cross's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Cross shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cross showed some decent athleticism there. Cross is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Law is just riding it out for now. Cross eventually gives up the hold. Law wants to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cross in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Law tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Cross!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Janus Cross!
