Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grant Alyoshin (ranked 2242 p4p, 21701 weight class) and Peetu Tam (ranked 258 p4p, 558 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Peetu Tam was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alyoshin plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Peetu Tam has been cut.
Tam throws a front kick aimed at Alyoshin's knee but Alyoshin avoids it well.
Tam has a takedown stuffed.

Alyoshin has taken the fight to the clinch.

I was talking to Alyoshin's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Alyoshin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Alyoshin jerks Tam to the side and lands a massive knee to the head that knocks him out cold! Tam's lifeless body is proped up only by the ropes. Alyoshin steps back, hand raised, as the crowd goes wild!
