Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson Do Souza!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendoza stalks Do Souza and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Do Souza's face. Do Souza staggers backwards, shaken.
Horrible takedown attempt by Do Souza or perhaps it was just good defense by Mendoza, which made it look bad.
Do Souza fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mendoza has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Do Souza throws a body kick that misses.
Mendoza scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Mendoza working the ground and pound.
Do Souza is trying to escape the position but Mendoza is controlling the position.
Do Souza is looking to reverse the position.
Mendoza content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Mendoza tries for a kimura but Do Souza is defending well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

We've been hearing that Mendoza has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Mendoza has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Do Souza is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Mendoza yanks on the arm and Do Souza is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Mendoza.

After the fight, Luiz Mendoza was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
