Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Franz Ramos (ranked 440 p4p, 3336 weight class) and Ryan Wallaby (ranked 57 p4p, 381 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos throws a body punch but Wallaby moves out of range.
Wallaby moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Franz Ramos has been cut.
Ramos throws a combination that misses

and Wallaby counters by moving into the clinch.
Ramos on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Wallaby is trying to break the clinch but Ramos is controlling him.
Wallaby blocking some punches.
Ramos has Wallaby pushed against the cage.
Wallaby lands a body shot in the clinch.

Wallaby's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wallaby tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ramos paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Wallaby looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ramos is fending him off so far but Wallaby persists. Nope, Ramos circles away and we're back to standing.

Franz Ramos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Wallaby.

Ramos thuds his right hand into Wallaby's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Wallaby has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Wallaby shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ramos defends it nicely.
Wallaby throws a right hand that Ramos ducks under and follows up with a left that Ramos also avoids with ease.

Wallaby with the counter takedown but Ramos avoids it easily.

Wallaby shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ramos sprawls well. Ramos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wallaby gets slowly back to his feet.
A little feinted left hand from Ramos on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Ramos lands with a straight right. Wallaby didn't see that one coming.

That has opened up Ryan Wallaby's cut even more.
Franz Ramos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Wallaby uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ramos.
Ramos throws out a powerful jab.
Ramos swats away the attempt to clinch by Wallaby.

Ramos connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Wallaby fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wallaby throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Wallaby forces Ramos back against the cage and clinches.
Wallaby is trying to break the clinch but Ramos has him pressed against the cage.

Ramos breaks from the clinch.
Wallaby avoids the body shot from Ramos.
Ramos misses with a hook. Wallaby ducked under it nicely.

Wallaby shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Wallaby wants to control from the top but Ramos keeps moving.
Wallaby is fighting to break Ramos's control of his arms but Ramos is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Wallaby postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Ramos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ramos sends Wallaby crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ramos is motioning to the referee to let Wallaby up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Ryan Wallaby's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ryan Wallaby's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
