Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tate Iii rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crusader moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tate Iii definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Crusader falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tate Iii connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Crusader takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tate Iii scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Crusader to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.
Crusader is rocked!
Tate Iii throws a right hand that Crusader ducks under and follows up with a left that Crusader also avoids with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Crusader avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tate Iii stalks Crusader and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Crusader 's face. Crusader staggers backwards, shaken.
Tate Iii uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Crusader is still on wobbly legs! Can Tate Iii finish him?
Crusader closes the distance but Tate Iii moves to the side
and Tate Iii counters with a right hand that wobbles Crusader ! He's out on his feet! Tate Iii follows up with a left hook and a final right hand that knocks Crusader out cold! No need for a referee count here - this fight is all over! Tate Iii jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Curtis Tate Iii!
