Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 23611 p4p, 23571 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 45 - 65 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 61 - 51 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buut stuffs the takedown. Buut is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Buut shoots for a double leg takedown but Buktot sprawls well. He's pushed Buut's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. And Buktot counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it. Buktot shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Buktot controlling the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut wants to control but Buktot is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Buut is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Buut wants to improve his position but Buktot is controlling well.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Buktot controlling the action here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Buktot shoots for a double leg takedown but Buut sprawls well. He's pushed Buktot's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Buut tries a quick counter leg kick but Buktot is wise to it. Buktot is trying hard to land a takedown here. Buut sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Buut fails with the takedown and Buktot counters with a nice double leg into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Buktot not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Buktot has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut wants to sweep here but Buktot controlling him for the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dawindi Buktot dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Buut keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Buut follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Buktot is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Buut can do to turn this around? Buut looks for a takedown but Buktot sprawls well. Buktot jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Buut lands with a punch from half guard. Buktot is controlling Buut's position as best he can from this difficult position. Buktot trying to control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Buktot won't allow Buut to pass to mount. Buut controlling the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut goes for a double leg but Buktot avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Buktot continues to drive forward. Buut with a lazy takedown attempt and Buktot counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Dawindi Buktot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut. Buktot shoots in for a double leg but Buut sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Buut closes this distance looking for a takedown but Buktot circles away. It appears Buktot was looking to counter with a kick there. No luck with that takedown attempt from Buut. Buktot throws a quick counter kick to the body but Buut avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buktot closes this distance looking for a takedown but Buut circles away. Buut follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Buut looks for a takedown but Buktot sprawls well. Buktot looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Buut quickly recovers to half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Walay Buut will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Buktot's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Buut fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Buktot sprawls well initially but Buut persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Buut throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Buut is controlling the pace.
Buut's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Buut jumps into side control! Buut content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Buktot sitting in guard here, content to control. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Buut seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
