The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Di Maio keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A slapping leg kick lands for Di Maio.
Di Maio moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Di Maio swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Romonov counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Di Maio is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Romonov gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Still in the clinch, Romonov scores with a nice short uppercut.
Di Maio tries a body shot but Romonov blocks it.
Romonov's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Di Maio can't get the takedown.
Di Maio has Romonov pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Romonov manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Dmitri Romonov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulie Di Maio.
Di Maio drops down looking for an ankle pick but Romonov pulls his leg out and moves away.
Romonov lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Di Maio falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
