The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shirokov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like Danny Angel has been cut.
Shirokov throws a lazy right hand but Angel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Shirokov looks to score with a jab to the body but Angel is just out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Shirokov as Angel shoots in.

Horrible takedown by Angel or perhaps it was just good defense by Shirokov which made him look bad.
Shirokov connects with a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shirokov sends Angel crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Shirokov is motioning to the referee to let Angel up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Angel looks gassed!
Shirokov lands a big shot that drops Angel! Can he finish him?
Angel is rocked!
That has opened up Danny Angel's cut even more.
Shirokov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Angel is still in real trouble! Can Shirokov finish him?

Angel seems to have recovered his senses.
Angel utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Angel can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Shirokov controls the pace.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Angel can do anything to dispel that myth.
Shirokov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Angel has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Shirokov has passed into side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Angel.
Serguei Shirokov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Angel.
Angel gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Shirokov steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Angel is out on his feet! Shirokov sets himself and nearly takes Angel's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
