Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kimmo Peramaki!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peramaki blocks a head kick by Mercer.
Mercer looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Mercer throwing strikes from guard but Peramaki blocks nicely.
Mercer trying to stand up but can't free himself from Peramaki's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peramaki is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mercer defends well.
Mercer's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peramaki is trying to control the position but Mercer postures up.
Mercer stands up over Peramaki, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Mercer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Mercer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Peramaki trying to keep a closed guard but Mercer is proving a slippery customer.

Mercer slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Peramaki pushes a forearm under Mercer's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Mercer is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Bobby Mercer spoke after the fight, saying 'I was kind of looking forward to a rubber match Diogo, but I'll take it as a sign. I am officially retiring from fighting. What a ride it's been Dynasty!
