And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Bowles!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Henderson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
A lull in the action here.
Bowles is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Henderson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Henderson avoids the strikes from the bottom by Bowles.
Henderson blocks the strikes from Bowles.
Bowles struggling a bit here.
Bowles has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bowles tries to improve position but can't.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Henderson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bowles has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Henderson is working away from the top position though.
Bowles is staying active underneath Henderson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henderson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bowles does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

and Henderson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bowles won't be happy with that.

and Bowles counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Henderson's guard now.

Henderson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bowles can pounce on him.

and Henderson moves into the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Henderson wants a takedown.

A close second round but Ryan Bowles will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bowles instigates a clinch.
Henderson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bowles walks away with a smile on his face. Henderson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Bowles is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Henderson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bowles is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Bowles throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Henderson avoids the body shot from Bowles.
Bowles tries for a takedown but Henderson circles away easily

and Henderson counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Bowles escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Henderson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Henderson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Henderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bowles swivels though and keeps the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Ryan Bowles.
I think Bowles has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
