Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lee Gordon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nicholas Chase!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase's jab looks to have found its range, popping Gordon under the eye.

It looks like Lee Gordon has been cut.
Gordon tries for a takedown but Chase circles away easily
and Chase connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lee Gordon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gordon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chase defends it nicely.
Chase looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Gordon fails with the takedown
and Chase cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Gordon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gordon shoots and misses
and Chase counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gordon thinking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gordon fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Chase counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gordon takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Gordon tries for a takedown but Chase circles away easily
and Gordon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gordon shoots for a takedown but Chase saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Chase is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Chase throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Chase stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Chase knocks Gordon out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nicholas Chase!
