Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a right hand that vader ducks under and follows up with a left that vader also avoids with ease.
Smith tries to clinch there but vader circles away.
vader shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. vader showed some decent athleticism there.
vader keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Smith looks like he's trying to stand up.
vader is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
vader thows a huge punch but Smith dodges it nicely.

Smith is looking to work his way out of this bad position but vader is controlling him well.
vader moves into full mount!
vader has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Smith's face.
vader is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Smith can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as vader tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

vader has hold of Smith's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Smith manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

It looks like ryan vader has been cut.

vader has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Smith off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
