Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Don Asakura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trey Smoke!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asakura closes the distance but Smoke moves to the side
and Smoke decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Asakura's guard.
Smoke is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Asakura working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Smoke has passed into half guard!
Smoke passes the guard and advances to mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Asakura can't escape the position.
Smoke controlling his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smoke quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Smoke but it's paid off an Asakura is forced to tap! Nice work by Smoke.
