The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wooten lands with a right hand.
Wooten looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Villanil closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wooten to the mat! Wooten manages to get full guard.
Villanil passes Wooten's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Wooten is trying to maintain the position but Villanil is very close to passing his half guard.

Villanil seems to be working for a kimura but Wooten defends the submission attempt.

Villanil is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wooten doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Villanil.

Villanil is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wooten is just riding it out for now. Villanil eventually gives up the hold.

Villanil has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Wooten defend it? Villanil steps over the head and cranks it - Wooten is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Villanil!
