Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Felix Bouchard!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright blocks a head kick by Bouchard.
Wright tries to clinch up.
Bouchard throws a sloppy head kick and Wright moves out of range easily.
Bouchard misses with a takedown attempt - Wright sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wright displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bouchard.
Bouchard pushes Wright away with a front kick.
Bouchard shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Wright counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wright.
Lance Wright has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Bouchard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wright is looking to stand up but Bouchard won't let him.

Wright wants to get up but he can't break Bouchard's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

We've been hearing good reports from Wright's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Wright looking to improve position, pressing down on Bouchard's thigh with his hand. Bouchard seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Wright paying attention? Apparently not!
