This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 11 losses; Raven Camoran! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 3 losses; John Snake! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Camoran fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Camoran changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Snake tries to avoid it but Camoran manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Snake to the ground. Snake escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Snake steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Camoran. Camoran shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raven Camoran. That's going to take a lot out of him. Excellent takedown into side control there by Camoran. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Camoran (4) vs (0) Snake Camoran is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Snake is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Snake stops Camoran from passing to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Camoran trying to control the position but Snake is working away.

Snake controls Camoran momentarily but Camoran frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Camoran stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Snake swivels though and keeps the full guard. Snake working a defensive guard but Camoran passes into half guard.

That's six minutes gone in the round. Snake sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Snake won't allow Camoran to pass to mount. Camoran with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Camoran tries to pass to full mount but Snake defends it. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Camoran in particular looking to stall. Snake is looking for a sweep. Camoran is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Camoran wants to work for an arm triangle but Snake is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Snake has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Camoran is working away from the top position though. Camoran is stalling here. Snake is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Camoran seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Snake has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Camoran (21) vs (4) Snake Camoran is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Oblivion Gate, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Camoran is looking to reverse the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Camoran takes the fight on points by 21 to 4. A relieved looking Raven Camoran thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |
