Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chayton Catawanee (ranked 1369 p4p, 2051 weight class) and Gurney Halleck (ranked 195 p4p, 291 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chayton Catawanee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gurney Halleck!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halleck misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fighters circling - Halleck throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Halleck throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Catawanee tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Halleck is in Catawanee's guard.
Halleck stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Catawanee swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Halleck trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Catawanee manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Catawanee has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Halleck is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Halleck escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Catawanee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Catawanee has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Halleck to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Catawanee is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Halleck pulls down on the head and he's put Catawanee to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Gurney Halleck!
