Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Pugsley (ranked 794 p4p, 1507 weight class) and Rocco Damato (ranked 85 p4p, 159 weight class). Damato has chosen Thunderstruck as his entrance music. Rocco Damato will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pugsley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Damato is working away from the top position though.
Damato is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Pugsley reverses the position - he's now on top in Damato's guard.

Damato has his foot on Pugsley's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pugsley works his way back into a safe position though.

Pugsley got a little sloppy there for a moment and Damato has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pugsley has managed to get both his arms back between Damato's legs - danger averted.
Damato is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Damato lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Pugsley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Damato content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Pugsley has locked up a guillotine! Pugsley's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Damato is holding on here and Pugsley must be using up a lot of energy. Damato has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Pugsley gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
