Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rylan Wheeler (ranked 1440 p4p, 1677 weight class) and Yoji Anjo Anjo (ranked 209 p4p, 238 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rylan Wheeler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 27 - 37 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yoji Anjo Anjo! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wheeler ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Anjo slips under a jab from Wheeler. Anjo steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Wheeler. Wheeler throws a head kick that misses. Anjo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Anjo goes for a double leg but Wheeler avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wheeler continues to drive forward. Wheeler scores with a nice strike. Wheeler throws a body shot but no joy. Wheeler backing away here, and Anjo unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Wheeler swings widly with a right hand
and Anjo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Anjo looking to sit in guard and control but Wheeler gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Anjo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wheeler is one step ahead there. Anjo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Wheeler working for a triangle but Anjo defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wheeler looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wheeler is trying to keep Anjo in close.
Anjo stays in close to Wheeler's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Wheeler throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Wheeler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Anjo defends well. Anjo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anjo tries to stand but Wheeler is controlling from the bottom. Anjo controls from within his opponent's guard. Anjo trying to stand up but can't free himself from Wheeler's guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wheeler's corner calls for a 1-2. Wheeler obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Anjo shoots in but no luck this time. Anjo clinches up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wheeler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wheeler fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Anjo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Anjo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Anjo shoots for a takedown but Wheeler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Rylan Wheeler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoji Anjo Anjo. Wheeler avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wheeler scores with the left hand. Anjo knows he should have avoided that one. Nice cross by Wheeler. Anjo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Anjo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wheeler to score with a decent uppercut. Anjo dives in and grabs Wheeler's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wheeler pushes down on Anjo's head and hops out. Anjo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Anjo tries to clinch but Wheeler is having none of it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rylan Wheeler dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Some wild striking there from Wheeler.
Wheeler throws a right hand that Anjo ducks under and follows up with a left that Anjo also avoids with ease. Anjo tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Wheeler misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Anjo.
Wheeler is looking to chop away at Anjo's legs. Wheeler is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Anjo can do to turn this around? A telegraphed right hand from Wheeler misses the target. Anjo wants to counter with a clinch but Wheeler pushes him away. Wheeler lands with an overhand left. Wheeler misses with a wild combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anjo shoots in for a takedown but Wheeler shows good takedown defense. Wheeler appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Wheeler misses with an uppercut. Anjo saw that one coming. Rylan Wheeler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wheeler with a jab. Wheeler avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wheeler swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Anjo unleashes a big counter combination but Wheeler bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Anjo fails to land the takedown. Anjo fails with the takedown. Rylan Wheeler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoji Anjo Anjo. Wheeler rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Anjo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Wheeler's corner calls for a 1-2. Wheeler obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Yoji Anjo Anjo has been cut. Wheeler throws a jab but it's blocked by Anjo. Wheeler lands a two punch combo.
Wheeler stuffs the takedown attempt from Anjo. Anjo gets slowly back to his feet. Anjo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wheeler circles away. Wheeler throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Anjo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anjo takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Anjo misses with a body kick. Anjo moves away from the strike by Wheeler. Wheeler throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Wheeler throws a right hand that Anjo ducks under and follows up with a left that Anjo also avoids with ease. Wheeler keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wheeler was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Anjo ducks under a wild hook from Wheeler. A combination from Wheeler does no damage. Wheeler misses with a right hand and Anjo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Anjo. Anjo pushes down on Wheeler's leg and manages to get into half guard. Well, if Anjo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza Yum. Can't wait.
Anjo wants to control but Wheeler is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wheeler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wheeler is working hard here to advance position. Anjo moves nicely into side control. Wheeler regains half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rylan Wheeler dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Yoji Anjo Anjo's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Wheeler misses with a left hand and Anjo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Wheeler circles away from the clinch attempt.
Anjo shoots in and drives through. Wheeler sprawls well. Wheeler lands a nice looking body shot.
Wheeler misses with a wild body shot. Good exchange - Wheeler coming out on top. Wheeler throws a head kick that misses and Wheeler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Anjo doesn't manage to clinch there - Wheeler circles away.
It looked like Wheeler wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Wheeler swings widly with a right hand
and Wheeler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Anjo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wheeler is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Anjo pulls his head out easily. Wheeler is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Cant Lose MMA, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Anjo moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Wheeler.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wheeler is looking for a sweep. Anjo controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wheeler is working to avoid the ground and pound but Anjo connects with a decent elbow. You can see the frustration on Wheeler's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Wheeler is looking to reverse the position. Yoji Anjo Anjo has got the better of the ground game so far. Anjo trying to control the position but Wheeler is working away. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anjo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Wheeler tries to buck Anjo off but Anjo is having none of it. Anjo trying to control the action but Wheeler is working from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Wheeler is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. No joy there for Anjo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wheeler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wheeler throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Wheeler tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Anjo was well out of range. Poor timing from Wheeler. Wheeler throws a low kick but it's checked well by Anjo. Anjo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Anjo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Anjo is looking to clinch. Anjo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wheeler to the mat! Wheeler manages to get full guard. Anjo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wheeler has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anjo has managed to get both his arms back between Wheeler's legs - danger averted. Wheeler working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Anjo has passed into half guard!
And that's the end of the fight! Yoji Anjo Anjo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Wheeler has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
