McCurtney comes to the cage accompanied by "Wonton Soup”. Fish has chosen Cant Stop - RHCP as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bernard McCurtney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Big Fish!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCurtney misses with a double jab.
Fish looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McCurtney is fending him off so far but Fish persists. Nope, McCurtney circles away and we're back to standing.
McCurtney lands with a good body shot.
Some wild striking there from McCurtney.
McCurtney tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
McCurtney throws a nice looking combination but Fish bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McCurtney misses with a hook. Fish ducked under it nicely.
McCurtney swings for the body but Fish moves out of range.
McCurtney scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McCurtney misses with a two punch combination.
McCurtney finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Fish pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces McCurtney back to the cage. Fish follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Bernard McCurtney has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fish dodges the punch combination from McCurtney.

McCurtney throws a right and a left that both miss.

Fish rushes McCurtney and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
McCurtney is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Maybe McCurtney would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.

Fish lands a hook to the side of the head.
Fish tries to pull guard but McCurtney won't allow it.
Fish looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
McCurtney tries to circle away but Fish has him pinned against the cage.
Fish lands a left hand that snaps the head of McCurtney backwards.
McCurtney has had enough of the clinch but Fish keeps him there for the moment.
McCurtney looking to stall.
Fish lands a shoulder strike.
Fish can't find room to land a body shot as McCurtney controls the action.
Fish misses with a hook to the ribs.

McCurtney slowing the pace effectively.
McCurtney misses with a body punch.
McCurtney wants to get back to striking at distance but Fish won't allow it.
Fish lands with a short head shot on the inside.
McCurtney is trying to maintain a safe position but Fish gets an underhook and turns McCurtney into the cage.

Fish drags the fight down to the ground.
McCurtney postures up.
McCurtney knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fish on the ground.

McCurtney decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Fish counters with a straight right hand.

McCurtney scores with a three punch combo!
Bernard McCurtney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fish misses with a wild combination.
Fish throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Fish shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McCurtney defends it nicely.
Bernard McCurtney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Big Fish.

McCurtney throws a jab when Fish was well out of range.
McCurtney will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
McCurtney dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McCurtney throws a series of punches but Fish moves out of range.
Fish tries to clinch up.
Fish throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McCurtney on the side of the head.
The crowd cheers as McCurtney lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fish doesn't seem phased though.

McCurtney misses with a double jab
and Fish makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
McCurtney moves into range and connects with a jab.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A low kick lands for McCurtney.
McCurtney misses with a kick to the body
and Fish counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bernard McCurtney is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McCurtney takes a body punch but keeps moving.
McCurtney throws a hook but Fish blocks it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Fish! But no joy.

Fish gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Fish lands a hook that snaps the head of McCurtney backwards.

McCurtney stalling in the clinch but Fish improves position.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Fish.
McCurtney wants to break free but Fish has control.
Fish throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Fish misses with a punch to the body.
Fish pushes McCurtney back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Fish tries to throw a body punch but McCurtney avoids it by throwing Fish back against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Big Fish will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Bernard McCurtney's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Fish takes a swing at McCurtney's ribcage but misses.
McCurtney lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McCurtney.

McCurtney seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

A jab lands there for McCurtney.
McCurtney looks to land a combination but Fish avoids it well.
Fish swings for the body but McCurtney moves out of range.

McCurtney gets caught flat footed, as Fish shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McCurtney pulls Fish in close to prevent any damage.
McCurtney looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fish stands and throws McCurtney's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Fish wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McCurtney, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fish controls the position.

Fish is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. McCurtney looks calm but he's in trouble here. Fish gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. McCurtney is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Fish lets go of the hold and McCurtney can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Big Fish!
Big Fish seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
