This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 13 wins and 48 losses; Mono Loco! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 37 wins and 20 losses; Chad Strdoza!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Loco with a poor takedown
and Strdoza counters by moving into the clinch.
Strdoza pulls guard effortlessly.
Strdoza working for a triangle but Loco defends it easily.
Strdoza is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Strdoza has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Loco can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Loco wants to control from the top but Strdoza keeps moving.
Strdoza is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Loco trying to control but Strdoza is working from the bottom.
Loco knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Strdoza on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Strdoza working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Loco doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Loco manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Loco trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Strdoza is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Loco defends well.
Loco is fighting to break Strdoza's control of his arms but Strdoza is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Strdoza working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Loco doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Strdoza is tightening it up a little... Loco has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Loco reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Loco taps out! Nice BJJ there by Strdoza!
