Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Wiggins (ranked 3959 p4p, 3975 weight class) and Santino Godard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wayne Wiggins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Santino Godard!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Godard shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wiggins throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Godard.
Wiggins has taken the fight to the clinch.
Godard tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Godard breaks from the clinch.
Wiggins clinches up with Godard and pushes him back against the cage.
Wiggins tightens his grip and picks Godard up, before dumping him to the ground. Godard manages to land in guard.
Wiggins controls from within his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Godard is trying to control the position but Wiggins postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wiggins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wiggins just misses with a punch to the body.
Wiggins closes the distance and clinches.
Wiggins tries to pull guard but Godard holds him up against the cage and eventually Wiggins drops back down to his feet.
Wiggins manages to break the clinch.

Godard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Godard fails to land the takedown.
An attempted straight right counter from Wiggins misses the target.
Wayne Wiggins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santino Godard.
Wiggins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Godard is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wiggins is controlling him.

Wiggins advances to half guard.
Wiggins is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Godard!
Godard flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Godard really wants to buck Wiggins off and get back to his feet.
Godard is controlling an arm, preventing Wiggins from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Godard can't escape the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wiggins controlling the position easily from mount.
Godard tries to lock up and control but Wiggins gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wayne Wiggins dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Wiggins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Godard moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wiggins bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wiggins is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Godard is trying to improve his position.

Godard bucks up and tries to throw Wiggins off but instead Wiggins has got his back!
Godard is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
