Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Cortez (ranked 2056 p4p, 1604 weight class) and Vlastimil Vyr (ranked 137 p4p, 112 weight class). Don Cortez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Don Cortez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vlastimil Vyr!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cortez went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Cortez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cortez tries to close the distance and clinch but Vyr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cortez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vyr tries to avoid it but Cortez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vyr to the ground. Vyr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cortez cracks Vyr with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Vyr falls to his knees and Cortez doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Don Cortez spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
