Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between DeMarcus Slice (ranked 25052 p4p, 2251 weight class) and Hyu Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Head is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eye of the tiger. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, DeMarcus Slice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 34 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hyu Head!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Slice sprawls well. Slice wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Head gets slowly back to his feet.
Head tries for a takedown but Slice sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Slice misses with a takedown attempt
and Head counters by clinching up.
Slice tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Head smiles and moves away.
Head throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Slice tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Head is in Slice's guard.
Slice kicks Head off and gets to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Head closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Slice to the mat! Slice manages to get full guard.
Slice has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Head has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Head lands a hook that snaps the head of Slice backwards.
Slice drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Slice is on top in guard.
Head trying to control the position here.
Head is continuing to stall.
Head is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Slice is controlling him.
Head pulls Slice in close to his closed guard and prevents Slice from doing any damage or advancing position.
Slice will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Head keeping moving, preventing Slice from controlling successfully.
Head will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Slice wants to stand but Head has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Head working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Slice.
Head seems keen to control Slice's posture.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Head tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Slice swivels and escapes.
DeMarcus Slice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hyu Head.
Head tries for a takedown but Slice sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
No luck for Head with that takedown attempt.
Head goes for a double leg but Slice avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Slice continues to drive forward.
Head tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Slice swivels and escapes.
Head keeps the fight on the outside.
Slice shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Head as he avoids it easily.
Slice gets caught flat footed, as Head shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Head trying to control but Slice is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Slice pulls Head in close to prevent any damage.
Slice keeping full guard, as Head tries to pass.

Head trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Head wants to control from the top but Slice keeps moving.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Slice enables Head to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Slice manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
DeMarcus Slice dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Slice looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Head dives in and grabs Slice's left leg, looking for a takedown. Slice pushes down on Head's head and hops out.
Head blocks a leg kick.
Slice moves into the clinch.
Head escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hyu Head seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Head moves out of range of the body kick from Slice.
Nice sprawl there from Head as Slice shoots in.
Head shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Head pushes down on Slice's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Head wants to control but Slice is keeping him busy.
Head has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Slice defend it? Head steps over the head and cranks it - Slice is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Head!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Hyu Head!
After the fight, Hyu Head was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
