Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Song (ranked 3908 p4p, 2689 weight class) and Derek Blueboy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Song has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Jacob Song could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Derek Blueboy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 33 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jacob Song!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Derek Blueboy!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blueboy has closed the distance and engaged Song in a clinch.
Blueboy pulls guard effortlessly.
Song might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blueboy is on top in guard.
Song will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Song is breathing heavily.
Blueboy is stalling in the full guard.
Let's hope that Blueboy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Blueboy postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blueboy stands up and waves to Song to follow him.
Blueboy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Blueboy landing a few strikes.
Blueboy looks up at the clock and then as Song takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Blueboy smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Blueboy working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Song seems a little lost for a moment, as Blueboy dominates the positioning.
Song knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blueboy on the ground.
Blueboy is chipping away with strikes.
Blueboy decides to stand back up. Blueboy steps back and let's Song get back to his feet.
Blueboy darts in and clinches Song up against the cage.
Blueboy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Blueboy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Blueboy is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Song frees his head nicely. Oh but Blueboy has switched to an armbar! Song is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
