Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shahram Sheikhan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacob Song!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheikhan plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Sheikhan digs a good body shot into Song's ribs.
Sheikhan throws a quick inside leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sheikhan.
Sheikhan throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Jacob Song has been cut.
Sheikhan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Song's hands.
Song is rocked!
Sheikhan cracks Song with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Song tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Sheikhan pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Song is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shahram Sheikhan!
