The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pike with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Pike pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Pike takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Pike throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pike misses with the combination.
Yamasaki tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Yamasaki digs a good body shot into Pike's ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yamasaki lands with a nice combination. Pike backs away looking to recover.
Yamasaki stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pike.
Yamasaki misses the shot to the body.

Donk. Yamasaki catches Pike right on the button with a cross.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Yamasaki has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Yamasaki changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Yamasaki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Yamasaki with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Pike to score with a decent uppercut.

Yamasaki gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Pike.

Yamasaki looks up at the clock. Bad move! Pike lands a right hand from hell, dropping Yamasaki. Pike pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
