Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Higanti Libat (ranked 23201 p4p, 23457 weight class) and Way Nada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 43 - 67 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 56 - 57 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Nada shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Libat but Libat pushes him off and we're back to square one. Libat scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nada has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Libat is working away from the top position though. Nada is controlling Libat's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nada is trying to get back to full guard. Nada holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Libat connects with a nice short shot to Nada's temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Libat trying to control the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nada gets a double leg takedown into Libat's guard. Libat is pulling down on Nada's head. It's preventing any offense from Nada, at least for the moment. Nada is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Libat is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Libat working for a triangle but Nada defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nada wants to control from the top but Libat keeps moving. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Nada stays in close to Libat's body and controls the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nada has a takedown stuffed. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Higanti Libat dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Libat shoots in but Nada avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nada replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Libat blocks it well. Nada closes the distance and clinches up with Libat, looking for a takedown. Nada pushes Libat against the cage but Libat circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Libat is looking to counter with a body kick. No luck with that takedown attempt from Nada. Libat shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nada pinned against the cage. Nada gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Libat slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Nada has his hands on Libat's head, controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Libat not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Nada pulls Libat in to control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Nada misses with a takedown attempt - Libat sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Higanti Libat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Way Nada.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nice sprawl there from Nada as Libat shoots in. Nada goes for a double leg but Libat avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Libat continues to drive forward. Libat half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Higanti Libat dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Nada. Nada wants to lay and pray for a moment but Libat keeps working. Libat wants to control but Nada postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Libat is looking for a sweep. Nada working away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nada gets caught napping as Libat dives in and scores a takedown. Nada manages to retain guard. Libat is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Nada is pulling down on Libat's head to control his posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Libat trying to control but Nada is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Libat stays in close to Nada's body and controls the position.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Way Nada. Well Libat has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
