Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Solomon Gill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bradley Burns!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gill shoots in and bounces Burns off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Burns is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Burns looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gill might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Burns is working an open guard so Gill takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Burns lands a nice hook to Gill's body. Gill takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Burns scores with a jab to the body.

Gill is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Burns's half guard.

Gill decides to stand up.
Burns scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Solomon Gill has been cut.
Burns is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gill throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gill shoots in looking for a takedown. Burns tries to sprawl out of it but Gill keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burns manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Gill.
Burns lands a slapping body shot.
Gill tries a head kick but it misses.
Burns avoids the head kick by Gill.
Burns misses with a wild combination.
Burns misses with the combination.
Burns lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Gill has a takedown stuffed.
Gill shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Burns but Burns pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Burns doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Solomon Gill. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gill manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Burns on his heels. He'll look to pass Burns's guard now, I'm sure.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gill gets to his feet. Burns looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Gill shoots in looking for a takedown but Burns manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gill's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Gill shoots in and drives through. Burns sprawls well.
Gill could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Gill is breathing heavily.
Burns connects with a body shot.
Bradley Burns is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Burns lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Burns.
Gill tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Solomon Gill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Burns rushes Gill and presses him up against the cage.

Burns pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gill misses with a head kick.
Gill is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Burns moves into range and connects with a jab.

Gill is rocked!
BOOM! Burns lands a beautiful left hook that drops Gill. Gill tries to recover but Burns is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Gill lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bradley Burns!
