PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Campos (ranked 3367 p4p, 4041 weight class) and Scott Lang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Campos is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Scott Lang told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lang lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Campos is breathing heavily.
Campos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lang looks to land a combination but Campos avoids it well.
Lang stuns Campos with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Rafael Campos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lang drops Campos with a right and a left! Lang comes rushing in but Campos regains his composure and manages to keep Lang in guard.

Campos is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lang is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Oh Campos is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lang tries to free his leg and advance position but Campos is retaining full guard.
Campos seems to have got his legs back now.
Lang looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lang stands up over Campos, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Lang working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Lang makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Lang cracks Campos with a solid left hand.
Campos could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lang arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Campos's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
