Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, John Albertson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 32 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steven Seagal!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Albertson misses with a few strikes there.
Seagal slaps away a takedown attempt from Albertson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Seagal swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Seagal lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Albertson circles away quickly and effectively.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Albertson.
Seagal steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Albertson.
Seagal misses with a wild combination.
Albertson tries for a takedown but Seagal circles away easily

and Seagal counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Seagal.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Albertson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Albertson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Seagal avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Albertson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Seagal walks away with a smile on his face. Albertson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Seagal leaves Albertson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Albertson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Seagal pinned against the cage. Seagal gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Albertson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like John Albertson has been cut.

Albertson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Seagal is trying to stand up here but Albertson is controlling him well.
Albertson is looking to advance position but Seagal won't allow it.
Seagal is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Albertson wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Albertson stops Seagal from getting back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Seagal lands a big head kick that sends Albertson tumbling to the mat! Seagal takes a step backwards and waves Albertson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Albertson is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Seagal finds Albertson's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Albertson flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Seagal lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Albertson will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Steven Seagal!
