Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Amare Blevins (ranked 3980 p4p, 3970 weight class) and Revolver Ocelot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Amare Blevins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Revolver Ocelot! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blevins scores with a takedown into Ocelot's guard. Ocelot working for a triangle but Blevins defends it easily.
Blevins working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Ocelot working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Blevins. Blevins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blevins pushing down on Ocelot's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ocelot wants to improve his position but Blevins is controlling well.
Blevins is nestled in close to Ocelot, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Ocelot gets back to full guard.
Blevins throws a big right hand that misses. Blevins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ocelot swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ocelot can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Blevins controls the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blevins throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Blevins sitting in guard, not really doing much. Ocelot preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Blevins sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Blevins shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Blevins showed some decent athleticism there. Blevins missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ocelot is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ocelot keeps trying to improve his position. Blevins thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ocelot's head. Blevins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Blevins is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ocelot sees it coming and defends easily. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Blevins looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Ocelot is defending against the submission attempts here by Blevins.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Blevins performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Blevins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Blevins has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Blevins trying to pass the guard but Ocelot defending well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Amare Blevins dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Blevins drops his hands momentarily and Ocelot takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Blevins wants to clinch letting Ocelot counter with a right hand. Blevins drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ocelot manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ocelot makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ocelot. Blevins pushes down on Ocelot's leg and manages to get into half guard. Blevins performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blevins throwing shots but Ocelot is blocking nicely. Blevins with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Ocelot won't allow Blevins to pass to mount. Blevins is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ocelot can do to turn this around? Ocelot is looking to control Blevins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ocelot avoid being mounted? Blevins throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Blevins controlling the pace. Blevins missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ocelot actively working from the bottom here. Ocelot is looking for a sweep. Blevins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Blevins perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ocelot throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ocelot darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Amare Blevins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A momentary lapse in concentration from Ocelot enables Blevins to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ocelot manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Blevins throwing strikes from guard but Ocelot blocks nicely. Blevins working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ocelot's head. Amare Blevins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Blevins tries to free his leg and advance position but Ocelot is retaining full guard. Blevins sitting in guard here, content to control. This is a sustained period of stalling by Blevins.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blevins wants to stand but Ocelot has a closed guard, so he can't escape. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Ocelot can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Blevins controls the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ocelot gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Blevins has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ocelot trying to keep a closed guard but Blevins is proving a slippery customer.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Amare Blevins dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Ocelot keeps the fight on the outside. Blevins looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Ocelot being controlled here, momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ocelot looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blevins controlling from the top position. Further stalling from Blevins. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Ocelot keeping full guard, as Blevins tries to pass.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Blevins scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Revolver Ocelot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Blevins creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ocelot sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Ocelot should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ocelot gets back to half guard. Still in half guard, Blevins seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blevins seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ocelot for as long as he can get away with. Blevins thows a huge punch but Ocelot dodges it nicely.

And that's the end of the fight! Amare Blevins showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Blevins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
