Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Xavierntreal Couture!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bobby Bayou!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture avoids the head kick by Bayou.

Xavierntreal Couture seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Couture tries to land a front kick but Bayou steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Couture drops Bayou with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Bayou looks back up at him and smiles so Couture waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Bayou takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Couture clinches up with Bayou and pushes him back against the cage.
Bayou ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bayou no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Couture tries to free his leg and advance position but Bayou is retaining full guard.
Couture seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Couture stands up from Bayou's guard - Couture perhaps looking for a knockout.
Couture darts in and clinches Bayou up against the cage.
Bayou jumps guard but Couture stands there with Bayou around his waist. Bayou gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bayou tries to pull guard but Couture holds him up against the cage and eventually Bayou drops back down to his feet.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Couture takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Couture manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bayou crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Couture - the referee stops the clock and Bayou gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Couture. Bayou manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Couture ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bayou moves away.
Bayou changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Couture pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bayou is out of range and Couture settles back down.

Bayou tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Couture manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bayou walks forward, straight into a front kick from Couture.

Couture connects with a right that clearly hurt Bayou. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Couture proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Bayou collapses and taps out under the pressure!
