Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Li Thai (ranked 4919 p4p, 25045 weight class) and Quek Wei (ranked 382 p4p, 402 weight class). Quek Wei has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Li Thai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Quek Wei!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thai moves into the clinch.
Wei managing to block the knees to the body from Thai.
Thai struggles to land a body shot inside as Wei controls his hands.
Thai lands an elbow inside.
Thai is pressed up against the cage. Wei has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thai down to the mat. Thai avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Li Thai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thai doesn't manage to clinch there - Wei circles away.
Thai seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Wei is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thai sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wei avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wei drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Thai defends it well.
Wei shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Li Thai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quek Wei.
Wei shoots in but no luck this time.

Thai instigates a clinch.

Wei works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Wei drops back looking for a leg! Thai is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Thai manages to kick Wei off! Wei jumps back into Thai's guard.
Thai controls Wei momentarily but Wei frees himself.

Wei is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wei accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wei drops back looking for a leg! Thai is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Thai manages to kick Wei off! Wei jumps back into Thai's guard.
Wei postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Wei drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wei jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Wei lands a couple of digs.
Wei slips nicely into half guard.

Wei is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Wei in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Thai tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Wei!
