Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Klaus Chugman (ranked 865 p4p, 1809 weight class) and Hiroshi Gomi (ranked 61 p4p, 117 weight class). Gomi has chosen The Only Thing They Fear is You- DOOM Eternal OST as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 51 - 48 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Klaus Chugman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hiroshi Gomi!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi misses with an uppercut

and Chugman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gomi won't be happy with that.
Gomi tries to escape but Chugman is in control.
Gomi wants to get back to his feet but Chugman is dominant here and he's now got Gomi's back!

Chugman is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Gomi knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Gomi for a finish.

Gomi is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Chugman off. It looks like it's working - Chugman slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Gomi displaying calm under pressure there.

Gomi has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Chugman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Chugman dives in and grabs Gomi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gomi pushes down on Chugman's head and hops out.
Chugman's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gomi connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Chugman scrambles back to his feet.

Chugman has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

A little jabbing left from Gomi on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Gomi sneaks out the side door and pushes Chugman away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Chugman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gomi was well out of range. Poor timing from Chugman.
As Chugman backs off Gomi throws a huge counter combo but Chugman manages to avoid it all.
Chugman has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Chugman there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Chugman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Chugman won't allow Gomi to get back to his feet.
Gomi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chugman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gomi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Klaus Chugman showed his dominance in that final round.
