Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Serra (ranked 2428 p4p, 4083 weight class) and Gage Bennett (ranked 292 p4p, 418 weight class). Bennett has chosen High Cotton by Alabama as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Serra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gage Bennett! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Serra swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bennett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bennett throws a lazy uppercut
and Serra counters with a nice uppercut. Bennett misses with a looping left. Bennett misses with a double jab.
Bennett misses the jab. Bennett connects with the punch. Bennett swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Serra counters with a stiff right hand. Bennett looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. It looked like Serra wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Bennett has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Serra finds it's way round the side to connect with Bennett's head. Bennett pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Serra throws a big counter combination but Bennett scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Bennett takes a swing at Serra's ribcage but misses. Serra connects with a body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Serra cracks Bennett with a right hand to the side of the head. Gage Bennett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bennett pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A decent looking cross lands there for Serra. Bennett shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Bennett throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Serra misses with a left hand and Bennett counters with a thumping low kick. We've been informed that Bennett has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Serra blocks a head kick by Bennett.
Bennett bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Serra's head. Bennett moves forwards but Serra connects with a nice, crisp jab. Bennett closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Serra throws a hook but Bennett avoids it easily. Serra throws a jab but it's blocked by Bennett. Bennett tries to land a front kick but Serra steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Serra throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. It seemed like Bennett was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Serra connects with a jab. A bone on bone clash there as Serra blocks the leg kick.
A little feinted left hand from Serra on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. No joy there for Bennett, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Some bone on bone action there as Serra checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Serra lands with an uppercut that bounces Bennett off the cage and back into range.
 It looks like Gage Bennett has been cut. Serra scores with a body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bennett's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Serra connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bennett scrambles back to his feet. Serra catches Bennett with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Bennett takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Serra connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Bennett misses with a series of wild punches.

and Serra counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bennett throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Serra on the side of the head. Bennett on the wrong end of a nice jab. Serra moves out of range of the body kick. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Serra, as that shot connected.

Serra is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Bennett swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Serra holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A short right from Serra. Bennett working aggressively here.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. A head punch on the inside from Bennett fails to land. Serra lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bennett backwards. Serra lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Bennett swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Serra scores with a nice hook to the head. Nice body punch from Serra. Bennett looks winded! Serra lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bennett backwards. Serra scores with a shoulder strike.
 Bennett is rocked! Serra creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Bennett's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Bennett drops to his knees and Serra pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Serra!
