The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dolton misses with a combination

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dolton throws a hook to the side of Ship's head but Ship sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ship tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Ship comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Jab, jab by Dolton - just one landing.
It looks like Roman Ship has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dolton drops Ship with a left right combo! Dolton follows him down to the ground into side control.
Dolton thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dolton goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ship rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dolton's guard! Nice work there by Ship! Ship looking to pass the guard. Ship's corner is telling him to maintain position. Dolton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ship manages to get himself to full guard.
Ship has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dolton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Oh but Ship is tightening it up a little... Dolton has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Dolton reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Dolton taps out! Nice BJJ there by Ship!
