Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Karras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle McGee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Damien Karras! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGee misses with a straight right. Karras shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McGee defends it nicely. McGee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McGee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. McGee closes the distance and lands a one-two. McGee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McGee misses with a series of wild punches.
Karras keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McGee. Karras shoots for a takedown but McGee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kyle McGee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Karras. McGee throws a half hearted mid kick. Karras misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Karras ducks under a wild hook from McGee.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karras moves in looking to clinch but McGee pushes him off. Karras is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McGee's half guard. Karras thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McGee's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McGee is trying to stand up here but Karras is controlling him well. Karras moves into full mount! McGee won't be happy about that! Karras has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. McGee is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Karras looking to secure an arm triangle but McGee defends it well. Karras looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Karras throws some wild stikes that McGee manages to avoid easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGee is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Karras trying to control but he's not successful this time. McGee wants to try and get back to his feet. Karras has hold of McGee's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and McGee manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Karras is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Karras extends the arm and McGee is forced to tap!
