Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Keenwah Granes (ranked 3425 p4p, 1444 weight class) and Ivarsson Trippin (ranked 274 p4p, 129 weight class). Granes comes to the cage accompanied by 敢不敢. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Ivarsson Trippin enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Keenwah Granes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ivarsson Trippin! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Granes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Trippin. That did some damage! Trippin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Trippin misses with a body kick. Trippin turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Donk. Granes catches Trippin right on the button with a cross. Granes clinches up with Trippin and pushes him back against the cage. Trippin fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Trippin misses with the head strike.

Trippin lands a left hand.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Granes creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Granes lands a right hand that snaps the head of Trippin backwards. Granes has Trippin pressed against the cage, preventing Trippin from circling away and getting back to striking at range. A head punch on the inside from Trippin fails to land. Trippin lands with a light punch inside. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Trippin swings wildly with an uppercut but Granes uses good head movement to avoid it. Granes lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Trippin backwards. Trippin scores with a shoulder strike. Granes drops down looking for an ankle pick but Trippin pulls his leg out and moves away.
Trippin throws a leg kick and Granes counters with a shoot takedown. Trippin fights it but they end up in guard. Granes working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Trippin's head. Granes wants to control from the top but Trippin keeps moving. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Trippin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trippin lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Granes is on top in guard.
Granes throwing strikes from guard but Trippin blocks nicely. Granes trying to control but Trippin is working from the bottom. Trippin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Granes controls the pace. Trippin is trying to control the position but Granes postures up. Granes throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Granes lands a couple of elbows. Granes working some strikes from top position. Granes trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Trippin is controlling Granes's posture. Granes loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Trippin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Granes postures up and lands a big shot to Trippin's brow. Granes passes easily into side control. Nice work. Granes postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Trippin is looking to regain half guard here but Granes keeps moving and retains side control. Trippin keeping his opponent close. Granes creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Trippin sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Trippin is trying to escape the position but Granes is controlling the position. Granes is looking to take a break and control but Trippin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Granes lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Trippin down.

Trippin lands a nice shot to the body. Granes has clasped his hands together around Trippin's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Granes is chipping away with strikes.

Granes is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Trippin has escaped the position, nice work there. Granes throws a strike aimed at the side of Trippin's head but Trippin avoids it well. Keenwah Granes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Granes grinds an elbow into Trippin's temple. Granes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Trippin wants to control but Granes postures up. Granes trying to control the position but Trippin is working away. Trippin has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Trippin is trying to get back to half guard. Granes content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Granes thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Trippin's head. And that is the end of the round. Trippin throws a front kick aimed at Granes's knee but Granes avoids it well. Granes wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Ivarsson Trippin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Granes waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Trippin. Keenwah Granes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Trippin needs to keep his hands up - Granes had a free shot at his head there. Trippin scores with a kick to the midsection. Trippin pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. No joy there for Granes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
