Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Francis (ranked 1492 p4p, 1109 weight class) and Pultti Pyssy (ranked 147 p4p, 116 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Oliver Francis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pultti Pyssy! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pyssy connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Pyssy scores with a hook to the body. Francis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Pyssy lands a leg kick that knocks Francis off balance momentarily. Francis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pyssy. Pyssy scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Pultti Pyssy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pyssy lands with a shot to the body. Pyssy connects with a body shot. Pyssy misses with a hook. Francis ducked under it nicely. An inside leg kick lands from Pyssy. Francis misses with a wild body shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Francis. Pyssy does a little dance to reset his feet. Jab by Pyssy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pyssy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Francis is looking for a sweep. Pyssy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Pyssy performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Pyssy wants to control but Francis is keeping him busy. Pyssy sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Francis defending well though. Francis wants to control but Pyssy is keeping busy and won't allow it. Pyssy works his way into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pyssy working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Pyssy trying to control the position but Francis is working away. What's Francis going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Pyssy happy to just control the position for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Francis manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pyssy wants to control the action here but instead Francis manages to pass to full mount! Francis prevents Pyssy from getting the reversal. Francis controlling from the full mount. Francis tries to control but Pyssy wriggling away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pyssy is working to get back to half guard.
Francis controlling his opponent. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Pultti Pyssy dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Francis moves away from the strike by Pyssy. Good work by Francis as he checks the leg kick. Good exchange - Pyssy coming out on top. Pyssy throws an off balance right hand
and Francis counters with an inside leg kick. Pyssy fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Pyssy lands with a shot to the body. Pyssy has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Pyssy shoots in but no luck this time. As Pyssy backs away, Francis returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The crowd cheers as Francis lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pyssy doesn't seem phased though. Good leg kick by Pyssy. Pyssy with the inside leg kick. Francis slips under a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pyssy chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Pyssy throws a body shot but no joy. Francis misses with a left hand and Pyssy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Pyssy lands a slapping body shot.
Pyssy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Francis but Francis pushes him off and we're back to square one. A looping hook to the body misses from Pyssy. Francis does a little dance to reset his feet. Pyssy scores with a sloppy right hand. Francis should have avoided that one.
It looks like Oliver Francis has been cut. A slapping leg kick lands for Francis.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pyssy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Francis was covering up waiting for the punch and Pyssy finishes the takedown easily into guard. Pyssy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Francis keeping moving, preventing Pyssy from controlling successfully. Francis looking for a sweep. Not yet Francis, not yet. Pyssy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Francis manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pyssy has Francis in his guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Francis looking to pass the guard.

Pyssy is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Pyssy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Francis defends well. Pyssy can't keep his opponent in guard - Francis advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Pyssy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Francis pulls his head out easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pyssy keeping control of the position. Pyssy is trying to maintain the position but Francis is very close to passing his half guard. Pyssy actively working from the bottom here. Francis is trying to control the action in half guard but Pyssy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pyssy manages to get to full guard.
Pyssy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Francis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Pultti Pyssy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Oliver Francis's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Pyssy misses with a wild body shot. Oliver Francis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pyssy listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Pyssy misses with a telegraphed body shot

Pyssy now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Pyssy scores with a hook. Pyssy throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Francis counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Francis scores with a push kick. Pyssy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A jab lands there for Francis. Francis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pyssy.
Francis throws a half hearted mid kick. Oliver Francis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pyssy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Francis moves away. Francis appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Francis throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pyssy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Pultti Pyssy seems to be getting the better of the standup. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Francis looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A low kick from Pyssy is predictable there and Francis counters with a nice kick to the body. Francis lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Pyssy at a distance.

Pyssy gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Pyssy is rocked! Pyssy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Francis cracks Pyssy with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Oliver Francis! After winning the bout, Oliver Francis thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
