PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Henrique Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardinho Pfeifer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castro comes to the cage accompanied by Kreator - Hordes of Chaos. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pfeifer shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pfeifer showed some decent athleticism there.

Pfeifer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pfeifer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Castro has his foot on Pfeifer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pfeifer works his way back into a safe position though.
Pfeifer slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

You can see the frustration on Pfeifer's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Pfeifer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Pfeifer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Castro swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Castro is striking but Pfeifer is not phased and passes to half guard.

Castro will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Pfeifer shoots in for a double leg but Castro sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Castro shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pfeifer's guard.
Pfeifer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Castro manages to get himself to full guard.
