Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hernando Veras (ranked 4266 p4p, 4777 weight class) and Paul Sanchez (ranked 361 p4p, 386 weight class). Veras comes to the cage accompanied by Hasta el Amanecer. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hernando Veras!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Veras shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sanchez pinned against the cage. Sanchez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Veras closes the distance and clinches up with Sanchez, looking for a takedown. Veras pushes Sanchez against the cage but Sanchez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Nice takedown defense from Sanchez. No joy for Veras on that attempt.
Veras sizes up Sanchez with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

and Sanchez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Veras definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Well Sanchez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
