Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Carlos Teixeira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thor Poohammer!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teixeira dives in and grabs Poohammer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Poohammer pushes down on Teixeira's head and hops out.
We've been told by Teixeira's head coaches at IMMA Gym of Elite ASS that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Poohammer misses with a few strikes there.
Teixeira swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Poohammer moves into the clinch.
Poohammer is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Poohammer creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Teixeira breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Teixeira will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Teixeira. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Poohammer closes the distance and clinches.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Poohammer just misses with a elbow thrown towards Teixeira's brow.
Teixeira wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Teixeira is trying to break the clinch but Poohammer is controlling him.
A right handed body shot lands from Poohammer.
Poohammer tightens his grip and picks Teixeira up, before dumping him to the ground. Teixeira manages to land in guard.

Poohammer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Poohammer controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Poohammer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Teixeira throws a series of punches but Poohammer avoids them all with ease.
Poohammer looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Poohammer dives in and grabs Teixeira's left leg, looking for a takedown. Teixeira pushes down on Poohammer's head and hops out.
Teixeira tries to keep at a distance but Poohammer has taken the fight into the clinch.
Teixeira is trying to break free.
Teixeira fails to pull guard.
Poohammer prevents Teixeira from breaking the clinch.
Teixeira tries to work over Poohammer's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Poohammer has Teixeira pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Teixeira manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Teixeira goes for a takedown attempt but Poohammer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Teixeira lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Poohammer moves into the clinch.
Poohammer manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Teixeira connects with a couple of short punches.
Poohammer has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Teixeira off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Teixeira tries to close the distance and clinch but Poohammer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Teixeira stuns Poohammer with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Poohammer looks winded!
Teixeira lands a left and a right that send Poohammer crashing to the mat, dazed. Teixeira thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Poohammer is rocked!
It looks like Thor Poohammer has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Teixeira connects with a nice cross there... Poohammer is looking wobbly and Teixeira recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Poohammer to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Teixeira jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Carlos Teixeira!
