Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Banchamek Buakaw (ranked 1369 p4p, 24222 weight class) and Yuri Sola (ranked 161 p4p, 516 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Banchamek Buakaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yuri Sola!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buakaw throws a combination that misses
and Sola counters with a left and a right that stings Buakaw.
Buakaw thows a left - swing and a miss!
Buakaw blocks the body kick.
Buakaw swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Buakaw throws a lazy right hand but Sola sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Buakaw shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sola eats them both and turns towards Buakaw to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and Buakaw counters with a series of strikes that sends Sola to the canvas! Buakaw follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

Buakaw wants to control from the top but Sola keeps moving.

Buakaw throws a hook but Sola avoids it easily.

Sola walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Buakaw throws a chopping leg kick but Sola manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Buakaw takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Buakaw is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Sola is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

As Sola looks to move away, Buakaw throws a big counter combo but Sola just gets out of the way.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sola.

A little jabbing left from Sola on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Sola bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Buakaw's head.
Buakaw is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sola can do to turn this around?

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Sola in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Buakaw, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
