The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Hitashi Sansho avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hitashi Sansho now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hitashi Sansho misses with a shot to the body
and Yakami Sansho counters with a straight right hand.
Hitashi Sansho throws a body punch but Yakami Sansho moves out of range.

and Hitashi Sansho counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Yakami Sansho thinking.
Yakami Sansho uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hitashi Sansho.
A quick step to the side and Yakami Sansho tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Yakami Sansho is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hitashi Sansho.
Hitashi Sansho swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yakami Sansho.
Well Yakami Sansho has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
