Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dane Webster (ranked 3590 p4p, 3445 weight class) and Danny Rivera (ranked 449 p4p, 440 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Dane Webster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danny Rivera!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Webster.
Rivera lands with a nice body punch.
Rivera attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Webster is looking for a counter combo.
Rivera looks for the body kick but Webster saw that one coming.

Webster on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Rivera scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Rivera throws out a loose jab but Webster uses good head movement to avoid it.

Danny Rivera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rivera fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Webster looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rivera misses with a looping left.

Webster went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Rivera fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Nice straight punches there by Rivera. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rivera.

Rivera drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rivera controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Rivera decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Webster, up you get!

Rivera darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Webster is looking to get back to is feet but Rivera passes into side control.
Webster is breathing heavily.
Webster knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rivera on the ground.
Rivera controls the position.
Webster looks to move to half guard but instead Rivera has passed into mount! Damn!

Webster tries to hold on but Rivera postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rivera cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Rivera mounts Webster! Really nice guard pass there!

Rivera controlling the pace for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rivera's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Rivera lands with some strikes.

Rivera shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Webster is trying to escape back to his feet but Rivera uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Oh Webster is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rivera happy to just control the position for now.
Webster seems to have got his legs back now.
Rivera has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Webster is trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rivera works to advance to full mount. Webster defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Rivera controlling the position easily from mount.
Let's hope that Rivera has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Rivera is continuing to stall.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Webster has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Webster is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
More stalling from Rivera.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rivera is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Webster has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Rivera has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Webster taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Rivera doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Danny Rivera!
In his post fight interview, Danny Rivera started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
