Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Logan Howlett!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas moves into range and clinches up with Howlett.
Howlett has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Thomas fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Howlett wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Thomas jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Howlett walks away with a smile on his face. Thomas gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Howlett thuds his right hand into Thomas's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Howlett jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Howlett tests Thomas's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Thomas misses with a combination
and Howlett counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Howlett stands up from half guard.
Logan Howlett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thomas misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Thomas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Howlett lunges at Thomas with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Thomas's hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thomas fails with the takedown
and Howlett cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Thomas is rocked!

Howlett pounces like a tiger and cracks Thomas with a vicious hook! Thomas is down but not out! Howlett follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
