Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 22831 p4p, 5487 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Xxx Xxx's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 132 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 125 - 27 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Fighter A fails with a takedown attempt.
Fighter B thinks about the counter body kick.

Fighter A scores with a takedown into Fighter B's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fighter B holds on and takes a little breather.
Let's hope that Fighter B has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Fighter A lands a couple of digs.
Fighter A working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fighter B has Fighter A pulled in close to control his posture.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fighter A throwing strikes but missing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fighter A throws a big elbow that misses.
Fighter A chips away with some ground and pound.
Fighter B working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fighter A.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fighter B works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Fighter B pulls Fighter A in to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
No luck for Fighter A with that takedown attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Fighter A.
A nice side step and Fighter B releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fighter A fails with a takedown attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fighter A shoots in but no luck this time.
Fighter B defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fighter A.

Fighter B shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter B controlling the pace.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod.
That's time! Fighter A's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fighter A is defended easily by Fighter B.
Fighter A misses with a takedown
and Fighter B counters with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fighter B throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Fighter A tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fighter B is in Fighter A's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fighter B stands up and waves to Fighter A to follow him.

Fighter B gets a takedown into half guard.
Fighter A trying to control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Fighter B is thwarting Fighter A's attempts to control the position.
Fighter B content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Fighter A keeping control of the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Well, if Fighter B is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Fighter A trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Fighter B manages to pass to mount!
Fighter B controlling his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fighter B with the ground and pound from mount.
Fighter B controlling from the full mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Xxx Xxx showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Fighter B shoots in looking for a takedown. Fighter A tries to sprawl out of it but Fighter B keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fighter A manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fighter A jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Fighter B displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fighter A.
Fighter B throws a fast counter high kick but Fighter A manages to duck under it in time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Fighter A.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter A closes the distance and clinches up with Fighter B, looking for a takedown. Fighter A pushes Fighter B against the cage but Fighter B circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fighter A takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Fighter A quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Fighter B stuffs the takedown.
Fighter B appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
A shot to the liver by Fighter A. Beautiful body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fighter B moves out of range of the body kick from Fighter A.
Fighter B looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Fighter B shoots for a double leg takedown but Fighter A sprawls well. He's pushed Fighter B's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fighter A throws a quick counter kick to the body but Fighter B avoids it.

Fighter A shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fighter B is trying to defend but Fighter A finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fighter B is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A working the head and body with strikes.
Ground and pound from Fighter A.
Fighter A landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Fighter B has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fighter A is working away from the top position though.
Fighter A misses with a head shot. Fighter B uses the momentum to regain guard.
Fighter B is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A with a flurry of punches that miss.
Xxx Xxx is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Xxx Xxx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fighter B has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Xxx Xxx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight!
Xxx Xxx showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Fighter B has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
