The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yates throws a right and a left that Gold avoids nicely.
Gold let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Yates uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gold.

Gold's coach down at Ragnarok\'s Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gold's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Gold is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Yates had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Yates connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Gold covering up! Yates comes in with a big uppercut and Gold goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Terrell Yates spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
