Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bongolongo Gayman (ranked 5259 p4p, 5096 weight class) and Kyler Rivera (ranked 411 p4p, 405 weight class). Rivera has chosen Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle) as his entrance music. Bongolongo Gayman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bongolongo Gayman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyler Rivera!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gayman to score with a decent uppercut.
Gayman works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The crowd cheers as Gayman lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rivera doesn't seem phased though.
A lazy body kick from Gayman
so Rivera counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Gayman wants to stand and escape but Rivera is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rivera stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gayman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gayman wants to get back to his feet but Rivera is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rivera looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
A shot to the liver by Gayman. Beautiful body shot.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gayman lands with a good body shot.
Gayman misses with the body kick
and Rivera counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gayman is looking to stand up but Rivera isn't so interested in that idea.
Gayman definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gayman trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Gayman is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Rivera dives into side control.
Gayman is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rivera has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Rivera just content to control the position.
Gayman is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gayman just misses with a punch to the body.
Gayman throws a sloppy head kick and Rivera moves out of range easily.
Rivera feints the counter takedown.
Gayman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rivera drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Gayman defends it well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Gayman lands a lovely overhand right.

Rivera walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Rivera is rocked!
It looks like Kyler Rivera has been cut.
Gayman moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Rivera is still on wobbly legs! Can Gayman finish him?
Rivera looks winded!
Gayman and Rivera are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Gayman throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Rivera into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Gayman knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bongolongo Gayman!
Kyler Rivera was interviewed post fight and said 'I could have done better, and I'm disappointed in that performance I just had. But we'll get better. I just got to keep working cuh.'.
